"You
cannot imagine what an impact you had M. Ann. She is
returning to school with a newfound confidence after
her visits with you. She feels so much better about
what direction she should go and she will be able to
make a much more informed decision."
M.Ann B. -- Midland, Tx.
The
Highlands Ability Battery™state-of-the-art assessment
tool that objectively measures your innate abilities.
Abilities define what you do quickly and easily. They
affect the ways you most instinctively learn, communicate,
lead, make decisions, solve problems, work with objects,
and use your mental and creative talents. While you
can learn skills to support these talents, your natural
abilities are unaffected by education or
experience. They endure unchanged throughout adulthood.
People who know and understand their ability patterns
are able to answer the question, "What am I naturally
good at?" They can then use that knowledge to
work more effectively and productively.
One
way that this tool differs from other tests is that it
does not measure learned material. You cannot prepare
for it. It consists of 18 specialized tests, called worksamples.
Each worksample is a task designed to measure one, and
only one, specific ability. There is no pass or fail.
All scores, both high and low, relate to your unique ability
pattern rather than defining "good" or "bad"
scores. You find out how you naturally work best and what
your real talents are no matter what you do
When you take The Highlands Ability BatteryTM,
you may notice that some of the worksamples will seem
very easy. Other worksamples may be more frustrating.
This is normal. It reflects the experience of comparing
a strong ability to a weaker ability. Knowing which
abilities are strong and which are weaker provides a
powerful tool to help you be more productive and less
stressed
How
It Works
It
takes 3 hours to complete the Highlands Ability Battery
CD plus 2 hours for Your Personal Feedback Consultation.
The
Highlands Ability BatteryTM taps into different
types of abilities - spatial abilities, design abilities,
music abilities, reasoning abilities, and others. Each
task is different. By isolating abilities in this manner,
the battery often reveals previously undiscovered talents
Your
individual, two- hour feedback consultation helps you
gain a clearer understanding of your particular ability
pattern. You will be directed to a customized web page
that contains your written results plus you will receive
an audiotape of your feedback consultation, both are
resources for further reflection
Learn
How To Work From Your Real Strength
"Each
of us is born with the talents to be remarkable at
something. The secret is identifying those talents,
then using them."
- Bob McDonald, Ph.D. &
Don Hutcheson,
Founders, The Highlands Program
After Completing
the Program
You
will understand:
•
Your Natural Abilities and how to use them.
• How you learn best.
• How you solve problems and make decisions most effectively.
• What roles and tasks might be particularly easy
or difficult for you to perform.
• What kind of work environment is most comfortable
for you.
• How to use this information for future planning.
• How your abilities affect your job or school performance.
• How to analyze current and future roles or tasks
for "good fit".
A
consistent benefit of the Highlands program is helping
people achieve greater work/life balance. Research
has shown that when people have more balance in their
lives, they are more productive and the companies
they work with are more profitable.
